End of lease cleaning checklist for tenants
A room-by-room list you can walk before the cleaners arrive, so the exit report matches what you agreed at the start of the lease.
Use this list the day the furniture leaves. It is the same order most Brisbane agents use when they compare the exit photos with the entry report.
Kitchen
- Oven interior, trays, racks and the door glass
- Cooktop, rangehood filter and splashback
- Cupboards inside and out, including the tops
- Sink, taps and the dishwasher filter
Bathrooms and laundry
- Shower screen, grout and drains
- Vanity, mirror and exhaust fan
- Toilet, including the base and behind the cistern
- Laundry tub, machines pulled forward if they can be moved
Living areas and outside
- Skirtings, window tracks and sliding door frames
- Marks on walls at furniture height
- Balcony, garage floor and the wheelie bins if they are on the lease
Tick the list yourself before you hand the keys over. If a room still looks dull under daylight, that is the room the agent will photograph.
