When does a floor need strip & seal?
Regular cleaning handles dirt. It cannot fix a coating that has worn through. Most floors tell you when it is time:
- Dull patches in the walkways while the edges still shine
- Black scuff marks and heel streaks that will not come off
- Yellowing or a cloudy film that builds up in corners
- A sticky or uneven feel under your shoes
- A floor that looks tired straight after mopping
How we do it
1. We clear and protect the edges, skirtings and anything that stays in the room.
2. We apply a stripper and work it through with a floor machine until the old sealer lifts.
3. The residue is picked up and the bare floor is rinsed and left to dry fully.
4. Fresh sealer goes down in thin, even coats, with drying time between each one.
5. We walk the floor with you before we leave.
